Freelance Senior 2D ANIMATOR

Funko Animation Studios are an awarding winning animation production company based in the heart of Bath; we produce work of the very highest calibre. In recent years Funko has become established as a global pop culture phenomenon; working with Lucas Films, Marvel, Disney, DC Comics, Warner Bros, and Microsoft. The animated content produced at Funko Animation Studios in Bath heralds a new era of original Funko animation.

We are looking for a FREELANCE SENIOR 2D ANIMATOR to work in our busy team. Previous experience in animation is essential; The ideal candidate would come into this role with an understanding of animation pipelines and workflow, and will ideally have series experience.

The role is offered on a three-month freelance contract basis with an immediate start. The Experienced 2D Animator will report to our in-house Head of Department. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, organised, able to use their initiative and generally make themselves indispensable in this fast-paced and rewarding environment.

The ideal candidate’s skillset will include:

• Knowledge of Adobe Animate

• Strong animation ability

• Skilled drawing ability

• Keen eye for timing

• Previous Series work required

• Ability to manage a team

• Strong communication skills

• Be able to give clear concise feedback to animators

• To able to motivate and encourage

• Basic storyboarding ability

• Setting work/working to tight deadlines

• Positive and enthusiastic

They must also:

• Be able to work as part of a team

• Have previous experience of series work

• Be able to work to tight deadlines

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, organised, able to use their initiative and generally make themselves indispensable in this fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and be able to work full-time, in-house at our studio located in Bath, UK.
